Atiye Gökmen (Founding and Managing Partner)

Atiye Gökmen is one of Turkey's most senior search consultants. She joined Nicholson International in London in 1991 after gaining an MSc in Economics at the London School of Economics in 1978 and pursuing a career in sales and general management. The founding partner of Nicholson International Turkey, she remains involved in the firm's management and its business, client and candidate relationships. Her senior and management board positions in the Nicholson International network have included development roles for Eastern and Central Europe, India, the Middle East and China.

Atiye has acquired a wealth of human resources consulting experience internationally and in Turkey as a consultant to some of the world’s most successful organisations. She has lived in London since 1975 and completed numerous senior recruitment assignments in the UK, Europe, India and the Middle East. She has a keen understanding of multinational companies, the challenges they face in various business cycles and environments, corporate cultural differences, and executive competency profiling.

Mutlu Eroğlu (Country Manager)

Mutlu Eroğlu's senior executive recruitment experience spans the FMCG, pharmaceutical, energy, banking, retail, technology and telecommunication sectors. She acquired ten years of executive recruitment experience at Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young before joining Nicholson International in 2006. She has broad experience with aspects of corporate HR development including assessment tools and practices, performance appraisal and feedback structures, and psychometric testing in senior executive search and selection. Throughout her consulting career, she has maintained an impeccable track record in client and candidate relationships, client satisfaction and assignment completion.

Mutlu earned a BSc in Business Administration at the University of Ankara in 1995 and began her career in finance and accounting at Alcatel. She speaks English and German.

Özgür Tuncer (Manager)

Özgür Tuncer brings to Nicholson International invaluable HR and project management knowledge gained in the banking, insurance and healthcare sectors. Before joining us in 2007, he was human resources director at JCI Accredited Kent Hospital in Izmir. He has ten years of hands-on experience in organisational development, training, process and quality management, business process redesign and employee relations. He possesses a deep understanding of the social and commercial dynamics of Turkish business and has successfully completed some of our most challenging senior recruitment assignments in general management, law, project management, consulting, human resources and engineering.

Ozgur earned a BSc in Political Science and Public Administration from the Middle East Technical University in 1997. In the early years of his career, he worked as a human resources generalist for Garanti Bank.

Burcu Küçükcumalı (Senior Consultant)

Burcu Küçükcumalı has been involved in important senior-level recruitments since joining Nicholson International in 2008. She leads executive search projects, particularly in the energy, construction, pharmaceutical, agriculture, corporate law, FMCG and banking sectors. In the marketing department of Ernst & Young, she successfully led and managed various internal and international marketing and PR events. She subsequently worked as a human resources generalist for IKEA, where she led executive search and selection processes. She is a graduate of Bosphorus University and speaks fluent French and English.

Gülşah Özcan (Consultant)

Gülşah Özcan has successfully accomplished search and selection assignments for local and multinational companies in the FMCG, retail, pharmaceuticals, real estate, construction, finance, automotive, tourism, IT, production, service and energy sectors. Her experience covers a variety of entry- and senior-level management positions in sales and marketing, finance, human resources, engineering, technology and law. She has worked with us since graduating from Kocaeli University in 2007. She speaks fluent English.

Derya Damla Palabıyık (Researcher)

Derya Damla Palabıyık manages and coordinates administrative workflows at Nicholson International. She acts as the first point of contact for candidates and clients, coordinates office communication, and supports candidate-client-consultant relations during every phase of executive search assignments. She is the administrator of our database and website. She holds a degree from Kocaeli University and speaks fluent English.

Esin Eker (Researcher)

Esin has worked as an intern for Nicholson International throughout her university education. She completed her degree in Political  Science at Galatasaray University this year and has now joined the team as a researcher. She speaks English and French.
